Piano: How to use the sustain pedal? The simplest way to improve the sound of your piano playing! Today we’re talking about the piano pedals, specifically how to use the sustain pedals in your pieces to take them to the next level. We go through 2 exercises for how to use the sustain pedal correctly on the piano as well as how the pedal is notated on the score. These exercises are for legato or indirect pedalling which allows us to join together chords or harmonies without holding down the piano keys all of the time.
