Kind words from students I've had the pleasure of working with.
Dominic has a real and deep understanding of what makes a good pianist, helping me get the best sound I possibly can from the piano whilst learning pieces of my choice (as well as suggesting music I might enjoy). As well as being a skilled pianist, Dominic is a natural teacher and I cannot recommend highly enough.
...He is an expert piano player and is extremely capable of helping anyone to improve their playing.
Dominic combines the necessary attention to detail and accuracy with really helping me appreciate the shape and musicality of the pieces I’m playing and to think about expression and interpretation. He quickly got a sense of my personality and approach to learning and so is very good at picking up just what I need to develop and improve. Thanks so much Dominic – you’re a star!
Includes full programme access, weekly guidance, resources, and personalised feedback.
The core of PMM is personalised feedback and guidance. In Weeks 4, 7 and 11, you’ll submit a performance video and receive detailed written feedback, which you can view alongside all your previous submissions on your private feedback page.
If you’re a Mentorship member, you’ll also have a one-to-one coaching session during each four-week cycle. You can book your session at any point during Weeks 1–4, 5–8 and 9–12, depending on availability, giving you the flexibility to arrange your coaching when it will be most useful to you.
Alongside your personalised feedback, each week you’ll receive an email and a video in your dashboard with clear guidance on what to focus on, together with new resources, routines and challenges to shape your practice and playing. You’ll also set goals and choose a new focus area each month, giving your practice a clear direction as you progress through the 12-week programme.
PMM is for you if you’re an early intermediate, intermediate or advanced pianist looking for a clear practice framework and personalised feedback. Whether you’re returning to the piano, preparing repertoire, or simply looking to make more consistent progress, PMM provides the structure and guidance to help you move forward.
If you’re a complete beginner, PMM isn’t the ideal place to start. If you’re unsure whether the programme is right for your current level, please get in touch, I’ll be happy to advise.
You can record your performance using a smartphone or camera! No fancy equipment needed! I’ll provide clear guidance on recording and uploading your video, including how to share it as an unlisted YouTube link.
For full step-by-step instructions, download the Submission Checklist from your dashboard or your welcome email.
You’ll need a smartphone, tablet, or computer to record videos, access materials, and submit your performances. Basic familiarity with using a device and uploading files is helpful.
Don’t worry if you’re not confident with tech – guidance on recording, uploading files, and setting up a YouTube account is provided in the first week’s Submission Checklist, downloadable from your dashboard.
For information about playing level requirements, see the “Who is this for?” FAQ above.
You’ll get the most out of this program if you can dedicate at least 3-4 focused practice sessions per week, but you can adapt it to your schedule. The structure helps you use your practice time efficiently – even if it’s limited.
In Weeks 4, 7 and 11, you’ll submit a performance video of a piece you’re working on and receive detailed written feedback on your playing, highlighting your strengths and giving you clear, personalised guidance on what to focus on next. Your submissions and feedback will remain available on your private feedback page, so you can revisit them and follow your progress throughout the programme.
If you’re a Mentorship member, you’ll also have a one-to-one coaching session during each four-week cycle, which you can book at any point during Weeks 1–4, 5–8 and 9–12, depending on availability. These sessions give you the opportunity to discuss your playing in more depth, refine your approach and receive personalised guidance in real time.
After three months, your membership will automatically expire, and you’ll receive an email reminder. To renew, simply log in to your account and follow the on-screen instructions.
