In this video we talk about why, when and how to practise piano in the dark without looking at your hands. We discuss whether or not this is something you should be doing. More broadly, we cover tips related to not looking at your hands when you’re playing the piano as well as how to develop a ‘magical musical map’ of the keyboard so that looking at every note and change of position is no longer necessary, allowing our music to flow.
